About

Founders Derek & Amy Easton on a hike in Costa Rica.

Our story started with a love of experiencing the outdoors during the day and being able to relax back at the campsite at night with a few creature comforts of home while still feeling fully connected to nature. We grew tired of the car camping lifestyle of packing and un-packing all the gear needed every time we wanted to go away for the weekend. Derek having a strong background in theatre scenic construction woodworking, and metalworking looked-for a unique solution to the car camping problem.

Not wanting a huge RV that would require a specialized tow vehicle and limit the places they could go we discovered the world of teardrop campers in 2020 and set about designing and building our first prototype to use for our own adventures. Learning much through the process and getting a lot of positive feedback from friends and fellow campers alike we decided there might be interest for our style of campers out in the world. So after around a 2 year design period Easton Teardrops and the initial Road Runner model was born. With many other running themed upgrades to fit in with Derek's active lifestyle we think you will find the perfect fit no matter the budget.
